Far above the ordinary. Unencumbered by convention. Ahead of its time: HAUS KÖNIGSWIESE is a building that needs no role model, but will itself define for a long time what living in Munich can be.

HAUS KÖNIGSWIESE

ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

HAUS KÖNIGSWIESE is an architectural highlight: stylish, perfectly designed and confident. The L-shaped main building forms a protective barrier around the townhouse. The floor areas decrease as you move up the building, creating space for generous terraces, while the structure of the building takes on a lighter form due to the graduated design. Horizontal bossages on the ground floor and sophisticated window frames in the upper levels give the facade a special visual appeal.

INTERIOR AND FURNISHINGS

Design is an attitude. And good design always strives to reduce forms to their maximum in expressive power. The interior design and the furnishings of HAUS KÖNIGSWIESE are likewise characterized by this reduction to the purest form: no line without a purpose, no form without function, no aspect of design without a message. The result is aesthetic enjoyment beyond fashion. Outstanding material quality, stylish ambience and a clearly recognizable appreciation of design with history are what characterize HAUS KÖNIGSWIESE. Residents and visitors alike can see this as soon as they set foot in the building.

The Neighborhood

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Why is it that some neighborhoods in a city have names with a certain ring to them? It’s their location, of course, as well as their surroundings. And Alt-Bogenhausen has something else to offer: style fueled by self-confidence. Elegance borne by understatement. And a quiet appreciation of enjoyment.

HEADING

NEWS FROM ALT-BOGENHAUSEN

HIGHLIGHTS

We only mention the Maximiliansanlagen parks and gardens and the Angel of Peace monument for the sake of completeness, but if you live in Bogenhausen, you probably aren’t there for the major attractions. Peace and tranquility in a dignified neighborhood – right in the middle of the metropolis of Munich; that’s what defines the character of Alt-Bogenhausen. And indeed what makes it a rare highlight in and of itself.

CULTURE

Bogenhausen is home to two of Munich’s best-known cultural attractions: the Prinzregententheater and Villa Stuck. You’ll also find the Monacensia, the literary archive of the city, in Bogenhausen. And, in typical Bogenhausen fashion, the other parts of Munich can have the big opera houses – here, the focus is on a few select artistic enjoyments. Even so, for those who want even more art, the museum district and the opera aren’t far away!

NATURE

Of course there are parks in Bogenhausen where you can escape the everyday hustle and bustle. But nothing represents the regenerative quality of this neighborhood like the Isar River. The banks of the Isar offer the Maximiliansanlagen and Frühlingsanlagen parks on the local side, the English Garden on the other, and the museum island in between – and the river welcomes anyone looking for rest and relaxation by the water and among the greenery, whether they’re on foot or bicycle.

CUISINE

In Bogenhausen, you will find one of Germany’s best-known pilgrimage sites for gourmets, and there are plenty of temples devoted to culinary worship. After all, it’s only natural that a neighborhood so devoted to a feeling of well-being should have a wide range of culinary highlights on offer.
